In 2017, I had the privilege to become the first person to offer creative writing workshops at a Women’s Prison in Gebze, Turkey. We used writing as a demonstrative and therapeutic tool. My feminism students at Koç University participated in the project by writing postcards to the inmates, thus forming a bridge to the outside world.
