“Þórdís, Will You Tell My Fortune?” is the second book in the Trilogy of Witches, a series that focuses on sorceresses at the periphery. Those who come from geographies outside the center of witch narratives, and have fallen by the wayside because of that.
The first in the trilogy was about a family of witches from Istanbul, the second focuses on an Icelandic fortune teller. It is a dark tale about the treasure chest she leaves behind, the three women who become her followers, and the magical power of runes:
